Honor the Code, Spartan

Well, today was a surprise! I really must say it was. Earlier this week I won a contest for a crap load of caffeine. This pack also included an Honor the Code kit by Mountain Dew and Doritos. Honor the Code kits are promotional pieces for Halo: Reach, a top selling game on the 360. I emailed Bryan, the host of the giveaway when I won the prize pack from and he expected it to make it in three weeks! So yeah, pretty surprised. Like a couple of my giveaways before, I won the prize pack by commenting on the thread linked above.

Speaking of which, Bryan has a new giveaway going on. This one is a bit more involved than just commenting saying you want it. Comment on this thread with a catchy slogan about the product (12 Gauge energy) in order to enter to win. It isn't random, so make the slogan good. Good luck everyone.

Anyways... They say these Honor the Code kits are limited edition and only made 300. But I'm wondering if that claim is true. Are limited edition things ever truly limited these days? Either way, I opened to see what was inside. Never know if you might find coupons...

Well guess what? Inside I found two coupons for a free 6 or 8-pack of bottles or cans of any Pepsi-Cola product. Just as I thought. TWO coupons. Free. Awesome! Also inside I found 5 bottles out in the open. Diet Mountain Dew, Mountain Dew Livewire, Mountain Dew Code Red, Regular Mountain Dew, and Mountain Dew Voltage. In the little 'top secret' flap I found a bottle of White Out. Limited Edition, can't find anywhere else. There are also two bags of Doritos. One Cool Ranch, the other Nacho Cheese.

Enclosed in an envelope glued to the top of the lid I found cardboard pieces with the different Halo Reach squad members with information on each one. I also got a little letter stating what was inside (chips, drinks) and information about what Honor the Code is all about. It says on the other piece of paper that the Mountain Dews aren't intended to drink yet the Honor the Code introduction says to pop the tops off in order to get the codes under the caps. Contradictory, much? Anyways. I also found a...get this... a USB hub! Random, but helpful. It says Honor the Code on one side in red lettering then on the other side it says 'Mtn Dew', 'Doritos', and 'Halo Reach'.

Guess what, everyone? I can now offer pictures for this entry! I apologize for the crappy quality, I'm using my webcam to take the pictures because my real camera is MIA. So without further ado, the Honor the Code kit:
